Ashton Hall Little Egrets

Please do not trespass to see these. With care and patience they are often viewable on the marshes along the Lune estuary or from the cycle track near Ashton Hall Lake.

Winter Bird Count

Pete Marsh has done a thorough job of providing instructions and
getting people to do surveys in each 10km square and a control tetrad in each. If anyone wishes to take part next January please contact Pete at pbmarsh@btopenworld.com

We hope to be able to produce a summary of the results in a later newsletter to further stimulate interest.

RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

If you take part in this event on 29 or 30 January, I would be grateful if you could let me have a copy of your observations so that I can produce a summary for the next newsletter. I think I have now mastered my computer sufficiently to do this.
