Kestrel | Previously a scarce autumn passage migrant. Increasingly regular visitor from 1998 onwards. |
Hen Harrier* | There have been some winter records from several years ago. |
Sparrowhawk | At least one pair breeds locally. Regular autumn passage migrant in small no's. |
Buzzard | One record (1994) of an autumn migrant. One during Summer 2005 |
Osprey | Scarce spring and slightly less scarce autumn passage migrant. |
Merlin | At least one bird regularly over winters on the salt marshes, though it/they are wide ranging and often illusive. Also seen on autumn Passage. |
Peregrine | The most regularly seen Bird of Prey! They hunt the wader flocks at all times of the year. |
