| Grey Partridge | At least one pair maintains a tenuous toehold in the area. The local foxes probably take a toll. A party of eight was regularly seen in autumn '98. |
| Pheasant | Seldom seen. |
| Moorhen | Three pairs bred successfully in small pools by The Lane in '98. |
| Coot | Previously vagrant status. A Pair bred spring '97 on Baxter's Pool but were predated by a breeding pair of lesser Black-backed Gulls. Successful in '98. Attempted to breed in the Lane Pond (The Copy Pit), spring '98. Now regular on the Bowie Pool. |
