Sunderland Point

The car park at Sunderland point provides easy access to most of the key sites. View the waders on the Lune Estuary from here. Walk south to the point or walk north along the sea wall to view the salt marsh and the Bowie Pool.

The Lane

This footpath leads across to Middleton Salt Marsh and allows a circular walk around the point to be undertaken. The trees and hedges along The Lane, especially in the region of the small pond can be very good for viewing migrant birds, particularly   in spring.
