Our guides know the birds and localities and will enhance your chances of seeing the key species in the region. Birds seen on Toucan Tours include Marvellous Spatuletail, Black-faced Cotinga, Rufous-fronted Antthrush and White-bellied Cinclodes (PERU), Black-hooded Antwren, Bare-throated Bellbird, Brazilian Merganser and Swallow-tailed Cotinga (BRAZIL), Hooded Mountain-Toucan, Chestnut-crested Cotinga, Blue-throated and Red-fronted Macaws (BOLIVIA), Diademed Sandpiper-Plover, Magellanic Woodpecker, Inca Tern and Flightless Steamer Duck (CHILE). More widespread species include Andean Condor, Toco Toucan, Sunbittern, Sungrebe, Jabiru, Paradise Jacamars, Pavonine Quetzal, Orinoco Goose and Torrent Duck.

In 2003 birders with TOUCAN TOURS were able to see Nocturnal Curassow, Brazilian Merganser, Giant Antshrike, Undulated Antshrike, Swallow-tailed Cotinga, Black-fronted Piping-Guan, Black-necked Red Cotinga, Junin Grebe, Inca-Finches, Cryptic Forest-Falcon, Zig-Zag Heron, Hyacinth Macaw, Lyre-tailed Nightjar, plus Giant Otters, Giant Anteater and Jaguar!
