Birds were very easy to see in the roadside trees, unless otherwise stated these birds were seen in a 10 minute walk around the block from the Stofella

First morning before departure to Sololar, all in area of Santa Catarina Hotel. The Bottle-brush tree alongside the walkway to the rooms was particularly good (the garden in general was good) as were the bushes just up from the eastern end of the football pitch.

Black and Turkey Vultures were extemely common all the way from the Biotopo to the El Salvador border. Tropical Kingbirds were also quite numerous on roadside wires and a few American Kestrels were also seen.
Very striking going into El Salvador, vultures became very scarce just around the odd rubbish tip but there were suddenly large numbers of White-winged Doves, far more obvious than in Guatemala.
