  • Morocco itinerary and trip list....Regis Nossent reports

South Morocco 1st - 7th  April 2002

  • Got up at 7am to find it cloudy but dry. A Common Bulbul was singing in the palm tree just outside the apartment. My first lifer of the trip already! Not much to look at, but quite a songster. Walked down to the beach, which was full of joggers and a few Yellow-legged Gulls and then cut in to check out the scrub and trees around the hotels, apartments and parks. A few migrants including Blackcap, Subalpine Warbler and a Melodius Warbler, also lots of Spotless Starlings....Bob Swann reports

Morocco Tuesday 9th - Friday 19th October 2001

  • Oukaimeden is most noted for its Crimson-winged Finches.  However, they can be elusive at the best of times.  We hope to see the Atlas race of Shore Lark, both Red-billed and Alpine Choughs and Rock Sparrow.  The drive up passes through a number of habitats and we will look out for Tristram's Warbler and Levaillant's Green Woodpecker...Robin Griffiths and Bob Dawson report.

Ouzeling in Morocco Jan. 2000

  • "Another winter birding break in Morocco, that's nice!"   Well, I suppose so, but after three study periods in the Spanish Serria Nevada mountains, it was time to repeat the 1993 Morocco experience.   The 'Wintering ecology of the Ring Ouzel' is the study, and 'birding break' is not exactly what I would call it!...Kevin Briggs reports.
